Merry Christmas blog family and friends! As the busyness of this Christmas season rushed in, I found myself caught up in the joy and beauty of my new surroundings. And in the stillness of those quiet, reflective moments, I knew God was in the midst of it all.

The Christmas festivities started early here in Saint Johns, Florida, with many decorating before Thanksgiving. That meant two extra weeks of holiday splendor to marvel, and I embraced it all joyfully.

As I sat in the stillness of the morning, pondering what to write for my Christmas blog, my mind wandered off. I smiled at my festive surroundings. The silence was peaceful, and there was a confidence in my spirit, knowing that God was with me. I reflected on THAT, on Jesus’ name-Emanuel, “God with us”. I realized this is often something we easily can take for granted. It wasn’t always that way; there was a time when Heaven was silent for 400 years. After the last prophet (Malachi) of the Old Testament, people walked in darkness without a word from heaven. And some still do today, when they don’t have to.

I came across a post shared by a friend in my disciple group, written by a Christian blogger/evangelist Jessica Jecker. I knew I had to share it with you. I found her words to be so profound and powerful, that a sense of awe arose in my spirit.

So, as you celebrate Christmas this year, I hope Jessica’s words stir up awe in your spirit too, as you take time to ponder the true meaning of Christmas. I used creative license to couple her stanzas in order to minimize scrolling. So, please ponder every sentence as each word of her prose is impactful.

Thank you for reading my blog. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I’ll be back in January with a revelation and some insights about the Holy Trinity and more reasons for Why the Word.

Love,
Nancy
